Crisis Response

ReachGlobal Crisis Response shows the love of Christ to those in need in the mission field that follows crisis. In the wake of a disaster, a spiritual awakening occurs. By being long-term responders, there is the opportunity to build relationships and share the hope of Jesus with the goal of multiplying disciples and seeing gospel transformation of people and communities.

Relationships are the first step in coming alongside home owners in New Orleans, Houston, Corpus Christi and the Carolina's. You will look for a Person of Peace, encourage them in God’s Word and disciple them. Serving for a year or longer is preferred in this role since relationships are personal one-on-one processes that need to be ongoing between two people to build trust and reliability.

Disciplemakers perform the following functions:

  • Interact and build relationships with the homeowners where crisis response is rebuilding to show Christ’s love, encouragement and share the gospel
  • Facilitate the volunteer's understanding of the crisis response work and vision and spark ideas for them to continue this work when they return home
  • Lead prayer walks with volunteers
  • Build relationships and assist our church planting partners in making disciples and multiplying healthy reproducing faith communities
  • Make sure that people's spiritual needs are met

If you have a heart for relationally coming alongside others so that God’s kingdom can be expanded, please join the Crisis Response team!
