EFC Taiwan Initiatives overview

The EFC Taiwan Initiatives is a collaborative ministry effort in Taiwan with the Evangelical Free Churches of China (Hong Kong), Malaysia, Singapore, Canada, the U.S., local Taiwanese church and mission organizations, and possibly other Asia EFC networks.

Our vision: Taiwan to become a mobilizer for global mission.

Our mission: To glorify God by planting disciplemaking churches that mobilize Taiwanese workers for Taiwan and beyond.

Position overview

This position will train and coach Taiwanese church planters toward multiplying church planting movements within specific people groups or population segments of Taiwan, beginning with the Hakka unreached people group. This person will lead and coordinate the Taiwan Team’s efforts at identifying, equipping and multiplying local Taiwanese church planters and church planting catalyzers.

  • Understands/able to learn church planting in Taiwan context

  • Kingdom mindset, humble learner and strong team player

Responsibilities

  • Be involved hands-on with an innovative church planting team to gain valuable experience in Taiwan context and through which to become a more credible church planting trainer and catalyst
  • Determine how to catalyze church planting movements among the Hakka people
  • Coming alongside the existing Hakka ministry organizations and church networks
  • Train and equip church planters and church planting catalysts nationwide through establishing learning communities for local church planters
  • Identify new population segments in Taiwan to target for church planting
