The EFCA ReachGlobal English Teaching Ministry Resource team provides training, curricula, and resources for missionaries overseas and churches in the U.S. who use English teaching as an outreach ministry. Our team facilitates online training classes and offers curricula for long-term and short-term English teaching ministries. In addition, we host a resource website and serve as English teaching ministry consultants.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate online teacher training courses
- Revise/develop teaching curricula
- Consult with missionaries and local churches about their English teaching programs
- Fulfill administrative duties related to the above (e.g., responding to requests for group training)
- Other possible responsibilities may develop as the team grows
Qualifications
- A TESOL degree or certificate from a recognized university or training center - required
- Experience in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages - required
- Cross-cultural ministry experience - required
- An ability to collaborate on projects - required
- A passion to see English teaching as a potential tool for sharing the gospel -required
- Experience in curriculum development - preferred
- Experience teaching online or a willingness to learn the needed skills - preferred
