Apex Pitesti Romania

Pastor Cristi Golas and his wife, Cami, lead a church in Pitesti, Romania called Adunarea Speranta Vie (Fellowship of Living Hope Church). It was planted in the 1990s by Evangelical Free Church missionaries. There are 11 neighborhoods in Pitesti, and the goal is to have communities who are honoring Christ in each neighborhood. Living Hope Church currently focuses on the Razboieni and Coremi ghetto neighborhoods, which are considered to be the poorest in the city.

They host weekly worship services, Bible studies, and outreach events. Oftentimes, the individuals they reach are those who are homeless or from disadvantaged neighborhoods. Pastor Cristi and Cami have used large shipping containers in city parking lots as makeshift ministry centers to tutor or disciple youth. Highlights of their ministry also include bringing young people to camps, conducting AWANA at the church, providing shower and laundry facilities at the church for homeless people.

Housing

Most likely you'll be housed at the church where there are kitchen and shower facilities for weeks 1 and 2. Week 6 will be at the camp.

Cost

• Early-bird rate: $1,100 per student
• After December 15: $1,250 per student

Financial Policy Overview

For registered spots dropped after: November 15 - you will lose $100/participant, March 15 - you will lose $275/participant, May 15 - you will lose full participant cost.

Apex requires a ratio of student participants to adult leaders of 10:1.

Special Requirements

• Minimum of 10 and maximum of 25 participants from the same group
• Pre-trip training with the materials provided by Apex Missions
• This trip may require you to bring your own air mattresses and bedding
