City Team Leader

ReachGlobal

Santiago, Chile is a strategic mission field in Latin America, serving as a ministry gateway to some of the most secular areas of Latin America—including Chile, Uruguay and southern Brazil. Even though the church is very present, there is a great need to reach the professional and university world. ReachGlobal's Latin America/Caribbean Division has developed healthy local partnerships with the national church. We are looking for a City Team leader to recruit, develop and lead people to come alongside and support the local church in Santiago to plant churches, and to help reach the thriving, young professional population and university students.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and develop a team focused on the accomplishment of our mission.
  • Be a part of the LAC Team Leaders Forum to work alongside other team leaders.
  • Develop trusting and collegial relationships with pastors in Santiago.
  • Work alongside the local church to plant churches and reach university students and young professionals.
  • Be willing to learn the Spanish language, culture and best practices for local ministry context.
  • Develop local friendships with believers and unbelievers, and plug them into a local church.
  • Evangelize and disciple young professionals and university students.
  • Encourage and disciple new believers as they learn to walk with Jesus.

Qualifications

  • Mature believer with a strong history of local church engagement.
  • Strong pastoral, relational and strategic leadership skills.
  • Experience leading and developing others from different backgrounds and generations.
  • Humble learner.
  • Bible college and/or ability to undergo licensing with the EFCA.
  • Ability to develop cross-cultural ministry strategies.
  • Knowledge of basic church-planting methodologies and strategies, and/or willingness to learn.
  • A deep love for people, a broken heart for the lost and a heart for transformational discipleship.
